We asked travelers about their flights to Auckland and what they planned to do in New Zealand. This visitor from Hong Kong particularly likes New Zealand’s fresh and diverse cuisine and enjoys the traditional lamb dishes, whilst also indulging in the fresh, local seafood.

Garry assists passengers at the airport after their flights to Hong Kong with Air New Zealand. Garry is wealth of knowledge about great things to see and do – including Horse Racing on Wednesday nights – an electrifying atmosphere right in the centre of town. Nothing sets Hong Kong abuzz with excitement quite like the thrill of horseracing. The atmosphere is exhilarating, betting is feverish and there are potentially huge rewards.

A hand fed Hummingbird video that is amazing. Taming the Alaskan hummingbird. These hummingbirds were filmed at our lodge in Alaska, no feeder required!
Our lodge in Alaska has TONS of these little birds in the summer. Did you know their hearbeat can be as high as 1200 beats ber minute! Mother nature is amazing!
These adorable hummingbirds eat right out of our hands here at the lodge. While setting up the cameras for some more handfeeding, these two little hummingbirds gave us “the shot”. Though I love the hummingbirds in Alaska, The majority only arrive after migrating from Mexico, looking for feeders along the way. Sometimes I wish we lived somewhere where we could watch baby hummingbirds in their nests. Some of those videos are amazing!
NOTE: We don’t use red dye anymore. We use 4:1 Water to sugar only.

On day four of the Air New Zealand Crazy About Rugby tour we woke the girls up in their queen size bed! Did you know motorhomes can fit queen sized beds in them?
It was time for the Air New Zealand campervans and their crew to depart Blenheim and head to Christchurch. If you’ve ever been up and about in Blenheim at sunrise, you’ll know that it’s pretty special.
Along the way we managed to get the campervans driving down a real airport runway. It’s true and it’s all on camera, although probably not recommended when you go on a New Zealand campervan hire trip of your own!
Then it was down the Kaikoura coast to see if we could spy any whales and continue the campervan convoy to Christchurch, a campervan rental New Zealand must see.
Once in Christchurch and after a well-deserved sleep at the Christchurch Top Ten Holiday Park where there’s all kinds of accommodation especially for New Zealand motorhome hire, it was on to pick up the All Blacks (breathe people!) and take them to meet the Burnside and New Brighton Little Rippa rugby teams.
As the All Blacks presented the Little Rippas with their Air New Zealand Crazy About Rugby jerseys and tickets to the All Blacks vs Fiji charity match, you could almost touch the excitement. The kids carved up the Burnside Rugby Club field impressing the All Blacks, and headed home to prepare for their next week’s adventure.
For the Air New Zealand staff though, it was time to farewell their campervans and head back to reality. I’m sure we’ll see them again when they next go on a New Zealand campervan hire experience with their family and friends.

A bungee jump is a thing that I did recently, and the whole experience was recorded for your viewing pleasure … if pleasure to you is watching someone plummet 160ft to a possible (but unlikely) death.

We headed down to Auckland’s bustling Viaduct area to ask some travelers what they thought of New Zealands biggest city and their flights to Auckland. Here are some of the highlights these travelers experienced. This traveller thought the 360 degree views from One Tree Hill were spectacular. This dormant, volcanic cone is surrounded by the lush and green Cornwall Park and the Stardome Observatory.
