We asked some travelers what they thought of their flights to New Zealand and what they planned to do in Auckland. This is this visitor’s third trip in four years and he particularly likes the central city in downtown Auckland, with excellent shops, historic buildings, art galleries, top restaurants and bars and the Viaduct Basin, the hub of Auckland’s boating culture. He says Auckland gets better every time he visits.

This is the second time Rosie has caught flights to Hong Kong for a family vacation. She is from Norwich, England and is visiting her daughter in Hong Kong. Her favourite place is catching the tram up to Peak, where the views of the cityscape and outer islands are quite remarkable. Mancee from Mumbai regularly catches flights to Hong Kong as a stop off point on her way to Auckland to meet her fiancée. For her, it is an ideal place to stop over as everything is very convenient, safe and easy to get around. Plus the shopping at Temple Street is a major attraction and shopping site, featuring rows of brightly lit stalls hawking an incredible variety of inexpensive items. The market is open from 4pm to midnight, but comes alive after sunset.

A hand fed Hummingbird video that is amazing. Taming the Alaskan hummingbird. These hummingbirds were filmed at our lodge in Alaska, no feeder required!

Our lodge in Alaska has TONS of these little birds in the summer. Did you know their hearbeat can be as high as 1200 beats ber minute! Mother nature is amazing!

These adorable hummingbirds eat right out of our hands here at the lodge. While setting up the cameras for some more handfeeding, these two little hummingbirds gave us “the shot”. Though I love the hummingbirds in Alaska, The majority only arrive after migrating from Mexico, looking for feeders along the way. Sometimes I wish we lived somewhere where we could watch baby hummingbirds in their nests. Some of those videos are amazing!

NOTE: We don’t use red dye anymore. We use 4:1 Water to sugar only.
