Mancee from Mumbai regularly catches flights to Hong Kong as a stop off point on her way to Auckland to meet her fiancée. For her, it is an ideal place to stop over as everything is very convenient, safe and easy to get around. Plus the shopping at Temple Street is a major attraction and shopping site, featuring rows of brightly lit stalls hawking an incredible variety of inexpensive items. The market is open from 4pm to midnight, but comes alive after sunset.

Here’s your opportunity to see the real beauty of Campervan Rental New Zealand as the Air New Zealand Campervans drive from one end of the country to the other (almost all of it anyway). Around every nook and cranny they experience breathtaking moments and scenery. Renting and driving a motorhome around New Zealand would have to be one of the best ways to experience what our country has to offer, and these guys can vouch for it. We’ve managed to capture it on video for you, so have a look.
You’ll also see what they experienced when driving one of the Crazy About Rugby campervans around the country, and what living in one for ten days is like. New Zealand motorhome hire means you can rent fully equipped campervans with most of the creature comforts of home like a TV and DVD player, your own bathroom, queen size bed, and plenty of room in the kitchen. They’re fantastic for a variety of ages, plus there’s the added benefit of not having to lug your bags from one hotel to another as you change locations. Not to mention the opportunity to park up and take advantage of the great service at one of the Top Ten Holiday Parks around the country. There’s quite a few of them and they’ve got amazing facilities when you’re on a New Zealand motorhome hire journey.
There’s no need to panic about petrol costs either as they’re quite economical using diesel, and can be easily refuelled at Z stations around the country.
Check out what we’ve captured and see what those on the Air New Zealand Crazy About Rugby Campervan tour had to say. Would you sell your house to live in a campervan, or at least think of New Zealand campervan hire?

We asked travelers about their flights to Auckland and what they planned to do in New Zealand. This visitor from Hong Kong particularly likes New Zealand’s fresh and diverse cuisine and enjoys the traditional lamb dishes, whilst also indulging in the fresh, local seafood.

Garry assists passengers at the airport after their flights to Hong Kong with Air New Zealand. Garry is wealth of knowledge about great things to see and do – including Horse Racing on Wednesday nights – an electrifying atmosphere right in the centre of town. Nothing sets Hong Kong abuzz with excitement quite like the thrill of horseracing. The atmosphere is exhilarating, betting is feverish and there are potentially huge rewards.

A hand fed Hummingbird video that is amazing. Taming the Alaskan hummingbird. These hummingbirds were filmed at our lodge in Alaska, no feeder required!
Our lodge in Alaska has TONS of these little birds in the summer. Did you know their hearbeat can be as high as 1200 beats ber minute! Mother nature is amazing!
These adorable hummingbirds eat right out of our hands here at the lodge. While setting up the cameras for some more handfeeding, these two little hummingbirds gave us “the shot”. Though I love the hummingbirds in Alaska, The majority only arrive after migrating from Mexico, looking for feeders along the way. Sometimes I wish we lived somewhere where we could watch baby hummingbirds in their nests. Some of those videos are amazing!
NOTE: We don’t use red dye anymore. We use 4:1 Water to sugar only.

On day four of the Air New Zealand Crazy About Rugby tour we woke the girls up in their queen size bed! Did you know motorhomes can fit queen sized beds in them?
It was time for the Air New Zealand campervans and their crew to depart Blenheim and head to Christchurch. If you’ve ever been up and about in Blenheim at sunrise, you’ll know that it’s pretty special.
Along the way we managed to get the campervans driving down a real airport runway. It’s true and it’s all on camera, although probably not recommended when you go on a New Zealand campervan hire trip of your own!
Then it was down the Kaikoura coast to see if we could spy any whales and continue the campervan convoy to Christchurch, a campervan rental New Zealand must see.
Once in Christchurch and after a well-deserved sleep at the Christchurch Top Ten Holiday Park where there’s all kinds of accommodation especially for New Zealand motorhome hire, it was on to pick up the All Blacks (breathe people!) and take them to meet the Burnside and New Brighton Little Rippa rugby teams.
As the All Blacks presented the Little Rippas with their Air New Zealand Crazy About Rugby jerseys and tickets to the All Blacks vs Fiji charity match, you could almost touch the excitement. The kids carved up the Burnside Rugby Club field impressing the All Blacks, and headed home to prepare for their next week’s adventure.
For the Air New Zealand staff though, it was time to farewell their campervans and head back to reality. I’m sure we’ll see them again when they next go on a New Zealand campervan hire experience with their family and friends.

We headed down to Auckland’s bustling Viaduct area to ask some travelers what they thought of New Zealands biggest city and their flights to Auckland. Here are some of the highlights these travelers experienced. This traveller thought the 360 degree views from One Tree Hill were spectacular. This dormant, volcanic cone is surrounded by the lush and green Cornwall Park and the Stardome Observatory.

Before bidding farewell to Taupo, we just had to get the Air New Zealand Campervan team’s adrenaline pumping and what better way than to take the Huka Jet at Huka Falls for a spin. Plus we got some footage of their ear piercing screams and the team in those stylish goggles. A definite must do for any New Zealand campervan hire experience.
There was also some water rafting races going on in the Tauranga – Taupo River and, as expected, someone ended up in the water. Thankfully, the campervans were close by with a change of clothes.
To get to Otaki we had to go through Tongariro National Park on the Desert Road. I think there may have been a bit of snow somewhere along the way. Thank goodness there’s a heater in the campervan.
The campers passed through Taihape on State Highway 1 on the way to Otaki and got to check out the famous Taihape corrugated iron gumboot. We did miss the gumboot festival though but if you’re interested in checking this out when you get your own New Zealand motorhome hire, it’s in early 2012.
A few hours later and a few gumboots passed, the campers arrived at the fabulous Byron’s Resort Holiday Park and Camping Ground in Otaki Beach for the night. Sleep tight Air New Zealand Crazy About Rugby Campervans, the way to go for campervan rental New Zealand.
